# Learn from Experience

The 500 Startups Data Track is led by 500 Startups Venture Partner Chris Neumann.  Chris has nearly 15 years of experience in big data as a founder, early employee and investor, including successful exits as the Founder/CEO of DataHero and as the first employee of Aster Data.

The 500 Startups Data Track is for seed and pre-seed companies innovating in the areas of big data, machine learning and artificial intelligence. Startups that live and breath data and are creating the next wave of disruptive technologies.

 

We're looking for companies with deep technology at their core, whether building the infrastructure that will power future data applications, making data actionable through targeted applications and innovative "last mile" interfaces or leveraging deep learning to solve this generation's biggest challenges.
